I use the method where you draw a line down the middle of your square, layer fabrics right sides together, stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line, cut on drawn line. There is also a cd program "Triangulations" by Brenda Henning which helps w/HST and QST. If you look at my directions it explains the first method. Hope this helps.

I've been a slacker last week and I know I will be one next week also...but for a good reason next week.

I only live about 15 minutes from Paducah and the quilt show folks have already been rolling into town. I've lived here since '92 and have never gone to the show (yes I know that's awful) but I work all week at my normal job and then have a blast in our local quilt shop that week. I'm good friends with the owner and she has extended hours all week. She is a "one man show" so us "locals" go in during the day or after work and help her out. She stays open until 11pm and man it gets wild after the other shops in Paducah close up. These quilters don't want to go to bed yet so we have fun, games and great prices at her little shop. By the end of the week all of our butts are dragging the ground.

Anyway...here is one I finished for TravelinGramma...your blues should be great

Trying to make it up for being so lazy last week

Here's TPR9258's block. I liked how the points managed to line up so nice ... phew! Photo looks a little blurry but it's a nice mellow combination of colors.

BTW ... my son and our oldest grandson's birthdays are Sept 2 also....must be a good day

Yikes which block has partial seams?

your blocks look great and your busy week at the quilt shop sounds harried but wonderful.

The partial seams are in the Rick rack block. Even if you've never tried it before, I think you will find it isn't nearly as scary as you anticipate. Get on you tube and search "partial seams" - there are quite a few video tutorials.

We we listed our house 2 weeks ago this evening and have had 2 offers already. The first fell through because they needed the house a month before we can leave (we're on the military timetable and 43 days in a hotel with our 75lb dog sounds like I might need to learn how to drink) and the second is still in the negotiation process. Keep your fingers crossed if you think of it.
