For me, it would depend on what I have. I agree that stripes make very, very effective binding.

But, if I didn't have stripes in these colors, I'd just make the first one scrappy bindings in these two colors and for the second one, I'd choose bindings from all the colors in the quilt, except white. I like my binding to contrast most of the time.

But do what you like.

Thanks for suggestions. I am going to bind the 1st and like the idea of a border and binding for 2nd. Will look in my stash.
I am going to try to machine quilt it on my 185 Bernina.

I like the suggestion of using all the colors for the binding. I think QuiltQtrs made this suggestion.
