It was not that bad.... It was a layer cake, and I made the HSTs the way Jenny Doan does, so that was fast. Then I did the layout and just sewed the rows, etc. Sewing the top was pretty quick and easy. The quilting and binding did take up pretty much an entire day though.

It's a gorgeous quilt and amazing that it was done in such a short time frame. I'm sure she will treasure the quilt and the memories shared while it was being made.

It is special that your mom got to help with the choices that needed to be made in the beginning and it is wonderful that you have completed the quilt quickly. You should be pleased and she should enjoy it for a very long time.
