I'd go with what Jon and Macybaby said. The Singer screwdrivers I've seen don't have the collar and Greist made most of the attachments for the other manufacturers.

You are all right - the ones that came with my Featherweights did not have a collar on them. So much for my powers of observation! Sorry about that!

Which model or brand machine would this screwdriver have come from? I found it at a thrift shop Friday. I pulled the photo off of the Internet.

I had one like this on my old pfaff. I would use it on any machine that it would fit. I keep all of the various screw drivers for my machines all in one box.

My Singer Featherweight 221 had one in the case when I bought it. Not sure if it was original with that machine or if the previous owner just stuck it in there.

One like this was with the 1949 White I bought at an estate sale. There was also a smaller one I assumed was for changing needles.

I do believe I saw that screwdriver's picture in a Singer maintenance manual or owner's manual. The text was giving instructions to take that particular screwdriver and apply it to whichever screw, etc. I think they came with the Singer 221 Featherweight. I have several of them, myself, and they are most handy. They were made for sewing machines.

My mother had one similar looking and I think it was from a 1950's Domestic machine.
