Default seam allowance on mini quilts??

Good morning Quilters. I'm thinking about starting to make mini quilts, perhaps using 1" or 1 1/2" pieces. Would the seam allowance still be 1/4" ?

No, mini-quilters use 1/8 inch seam allowances.

Thanks so much for the speedy reply, Mdegenhart! I had a feeling that the 1/4" would be too bulky.

I did some minis and I used a 1/4" seam and then trim the seam afterwards before pressing.

I use those size pieces for my doggie bed filler. I do admire those who make the minis though. Have seen some very impressive works of art and anticipating yours

This sounds like it would be much easier to handle...especially for a beginner like me. Thanks for the tip.
