    Default Avery fabric sheets 3384

If I use these sheets as part of a quilt block and do not iron them on, is there a backing to remove before sewing them into the block? They seem real stiff to use as fabric.

According to Avery website, this fabric has a heat seal backing that bonds to fabric, cardboard, wood, and other porous surfaces. It is designed to run through printer. Sounds like it would be thicker than regular quilting cotton.

If you are not planning on ironing them to anything, you can get printable fabric sheets eith a paper backing that peels off. They would not have the bonding agent on them.
