On one hand this looks really awesome. Those petals are gorgeous. On another hand, it looks like a lot of work to keep both the quilt and template in place unless you have a Supreme Slider and either an extended table or a flush sewing machine. Although the picture looks like it has none of those items. Is there something on the bottom of the template to hold it in place? Anyone try this out?

We would recommend using a small piece (about an inch) of Stable tape at each end of the template to provide a resistance to slip. We use either a Supreme Slider or Sew Slip and yes you do need an extension table if you are going to free motion quilt with templates. There are many videos showing the method on You Tube Google search "Westalee Youtube".
Sew Steady are our US manufacture and Distributor based in Oregon

So is this available to purchase now in the US?
I have a Janome Horizon 7700 and I also have a Juki HZL-400. I'd love to purchase for at least my Janome, and if I can my Juki as well. I went to the Sew Steady site, but I couldn't tell what I need as a starter set...

Your Janome 7700 uses the High Shank Ruler Foot and your Juki HZL 400 uses the Low Shank Ruler Foot, Sew Steady have the Ruler Foot packaged up with a couple of nice templates (one of them a pinning feather). They do have a free call number listed on their web site.

I wanted to share that Mr. Bill West has been kind enough to contact me and personally answer questions/offer assistance regarding the Westalee rulers/templates.
He also provided me with a website that sells the items here in the USA:
quiltingtable.com
I've placed my order for the starter set and ruler foot echo guide, I can't believe I haven't heard of these...and I can't wait to try it all out!
