I'm watching my mail every day. It comes in the afternoon. If our last swap package comes tomorrow, I'll swap Thursday. Wednesday I need to help my daughter pack her house to move.

Hoping someone here can help me find a pattern. I would like to use my candy I have been collecting from the past few swaps, to make a quilt with the "Rick Rack Nines" pattern from Bonnie Hunter. I think it is in a book but I hate buying a book just to get one pattern. Does anyone know where it might be on here for free?

I don't see it offered free on her Quiltville site, BUT it is a ridiculously simple design. Just two nine patches side by side, then a plain block, set diagonally. Here is a good picture of it:

WOW how easy is that?!?!
Make twice as many nine patch blocks as plain background blocks and make diagonal strips assembled like this -- 2 nine-patches, one plain, two 9-patches, one plain, etc. Sew a bunch of strips like that staggering them by sewing the first 9-patch below a plain block in the row above. Put setting triangles at the beginning and end of each row and there you go!
Gus

great way to use these candies!!!

Check out this cute pattern for our candies... Imagine how you could take this design and do it in your 2.5" squares and HSTs...

Thanks Gus I did see a picture too, and understand the basic pattern but like a pattern for fabric amounts and quilt sizes.

Two darling candy ideas! I'm glad you ladies chat here even when I'm MIA! We got my daughter moved. She's still as close to me, just in a different direction. AND I just found out today my oldest is expecting her fourth baby next February!! https://youtu.be/OqSt-sodWXc I wonder if this link will work. Aren't they adorable!

Ok. Swap. I never received the last package we've been waiting on. I need to swap! IF it comes after tomorrow, I'll either keep it for next time or return it, which ever she wishes. Thanks for being patient ladies.

Now some questions. FIRST... Did you like doing 10/10 batiks? It doubles my swap time, but that's the only negative I can think of. And I'll be fine. . SECOND... I was thinking our next swap would be fun to swap holiday? Maybe? Though I know there are some of you who would rather not. Maybe those of us who would like can double side swap Christmas/Winter prints? What say you??
