I'm with you Ghost rider, I think the idea of a cooperative is great. I'd do anything but cut, I HATE cutting. Piecing is my favorite.

Me too. First off I'm terrible at quilting and that is probably why I despise it. I can't pay what it costs to send them out and then donate them( which is primarily what I do).
I've gone so far as to "not make a quilt" because I couldn't find a way to quilt it simply with straight lines.
and SITD really isn't all that attractive.

So a "quilting fairy" for me please.

Squaring up blocks and cutting borders. I don't mind doing the binding.

There's a point about halfway, maybe three quarters of the way, through the quilting, when on every single project, I tell my husband, "I am NEVER EVER EVER EVER going to get this thing finished!" I'd like my quilting fairy to take over the quilting just for a little bit until there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I think I would just ask them to sit and talk with me. I love every bit of quilting

Sandwiching the quilt. I must have six or seven waiting.

First, I have to say you have a gorgeous German Shepherd, looks like one we used to have when my son was little. If I had a quilting fairy, I would happily hand off sandwiching and basting the quilt to her. My favorite parts of making a quilt are: First picking a pattern, then the fabrics, putting the blocks together and quilting the quilt. But to do that I need to get it sandwiched and basted. That's the part I like least. I used to have this very large dinette table where I could sandwich the quilt, and sit to do the basting, however, when we downsized to an apt. from a 3-bedroom home where I had a sewing room 1/4 of the size of the basement, I had plenty of room, but no longer. Oh well, sometimes we have to make changes whether we want to or not.
