Gorgeous quilt. I would stitch in the ditch in the borders and then try to outline with matching thread to secure the panel in place. JOB WELL DONE.

This would be my suggestion as well. Depends on your batting as well - how far apart can you quilt??

Depending on your comfort level, I would suggest a small fill on each of the waving flag stripes, something different maybe for the red and the white; a different fill for the stars area, then an artful quilting of the eagle to highlight the feathers and such. It could easily be done on your DSM.

That is gorgeous. I like the idea of following the lines in the panel. Some scallop-y design for the Eagle's feathers maybe.

Good point. It's warm and natural 100% cotton so I don't think the stitching has to be really tight. Love all the ideas. Thanks!
