Well, I've had a productive day. I finished two wall hangings, started piecing a large wall hanging, and cut out the pieces for a table runner. Now it's time for the Yankees!

I just love everyone's projects! I doubt I'll be able to do any sewing this long weekend (gosh darn it) but I have an idea for a quilted purse pattern, if it pans out I'll post it in Tutorials once it's ready.

I have completed 4 of the blocks for my burgoyne surrounded today, hope to get a lot done tomorrow before the fireworks! All the components were made as leaders/enders, makes putting the final block together go much faster.

I am working on a request for a picnic blanket. Not sure exactly what she wanted so I found some fabric with watermelons. I will make a big carpenter star and back it with that waterproof fabric. I hope it turns out ok

I plan on re-leveling my long arm frame and getting some quilting done. I moved it forward about five inches when I put the two industrial machines along the wall behind it - and that was a while ago.

Two weekends ago DH and I got the ProStitcher installed, so it's time to get to using it.

I'm sorting through a donation to my church group. There are lots of
1 1/2" strips that were in bags by color. I found 9 cardboard boxes at a thrift store that measure about 20 by 13 by 3 for 1 dollar a piece and I'm putting the strips in those by color groups. There are also squares and other strip sizes in the bags and boxes.

Yesterday (Friday) I sat the art gallery. It's usually slow so they encourage taking along something to work on. I've been working on a long term project of simple log cabin quilts. Got the first 2 rounds attached for 24 blocks. I'll get them together today and post a picture.

What settings do you like for log cabin quilts from simple blocks?
