Wow, I just love what everyone is working on! Beautiful all of them!
I am taking a class next weekend from Victoria Findlay Wolfe. Yesterday I watched my 6mo grandson so while he napped I organized the scrap bag for that. Today I want to get back on the SAS. All the purple band pieces are cut out, so it will just be a piecing marathon as there are 30 purple diamonds in this band.

Spent yesterday cutting Sew Batik fabric into fat quarters for the shop. But today and part of tomorrow I get to play. Making the fried egg potholders for the shop today... need a dozen!

Got the bargello trimmed and attached the binding to the front, and am now hand stitching the back down. Usually I just machine stitch the binding so this seems like it's going to take forever! But it'll be worth it to have a nice finish, as I find machining the binding to be very hit or miss! I'm gonna have to get a wiggle on though because my mum texted me today to say they might be coming home early as she's got shingles, so isn't really enjoying her holiday. My poor mum! Fingers crossed I can get it finished in time as hopefully it will cheer her up a bit!

Some lovely projects so far! And thanks for all the lovely comments on my makes :-)

That storm at sea is looking fantastic! I'm super envious of the colour progression, I think that's something I'll never be able to wrap my head around!

Spent a few hours weeding in the garden before the sun got high - and DH and I just finished getting the long arm frame leveled. Since I was the one crawling around on the floor, I'm ready to go sew for a while and then get back to mounting a quilt.

Fay - I really like your SAS - make me want to jump in and get started on one. I've got the pattern, but I've seen so many versions of it I love, not sure where to go with it.

I am creating a West Va quilt for Christmas. I like doing my own thing and no 2 quilts alike. Kind of designing as I go. Will post the project as it develops.

Fay, your Storm at Sea is an inspiration...great fabric choices. I started one 7 - 8 years ago..would you believe it was a One Day class ... 6 hours... No wonder I did not follow thru...it will be in 2016 UFO list. I did not have room on my 2015 twelve project list. If anyone is doing the McCalls UFO challenge they have posted project number early this month, they did not wait until Monday as usually done. Happy sewing all and Happy 4th.

There! The computer managed what the phone and tablet couldn't! One quilted bargello, just needing to be trimmed and binding added! Apologies for the little doggy bottom in the corner, he was obviously finished inspecting the quilt!
Wow... that bargello is gorgeous and I'm not even usually a fan of bargellos! And no apology needed for the cute little speckled doggy butt in the corner.

Well so far today I have slept in, then swapped the I Spy swap and got all the packages labeled and ready to ship back to the swappers who 'played'. Then I baked some chocolate chip and pecan cookies for dh and I.

The weather has just become "indoor weather" here.... coming down in BUCKETS outside. I feel sorry for the family picnics that are going to be washed out.

Time to go sew! I need to catch up with you all. I'll work on my mini quilt for the mini quilt swap, and some charity projects-- bags and crib quilts for Sadie's Dream.

Will check in to see everyone's progress later.

I'm giving up on my 12" compass star for now. I ripped off all the secondary points, re cut them very carefully and started putting them back on, and having problems. I think I did not get my inner seams wide enough so the center is too big for the outer points. I know I sew an extra skimpy 1/4", and I was being super extra careful to be exact, which would result in an even skimpy 1/4" seam.

I've been doing a lot of paper piecing recently, I think it's time to do something that does not require so much attention to detail. I think I'll go do some strip piecing until my eyes get uncrossed!
