Default Orlando, FL area quilt shops?

Hello fellow permanent or part time Floridians and visitors! I'm located in the Tampa Bay Area and I'm taking my sister on a little road trip next week. We're going to the Quilt show at the Stetson Mansion in Deland sponsored by Judy Hansen's (teacher, fabric & pattern designer) Quilt Shop of Deland and of course visiting her shop. We're staying in Lake Mary. What other shops in the area would you recommend? Thanks for your suggestions! If you have the opportunity don't miss visiting the quilt show at the Stetson Mansion, there will be a completely different show at Christmas. Here are the links for all the details: http://stetsonmansion.com/events.html. http://www.quiltshopofdeland.com

You are in prime quilt territory in Central Florida. I recommend picking up a County Register for Florida (at LQS) and seeing who is advertised and close by where you are traveling. There is a handy map usually on the last inside page. A friend and I went shop hopping last year in June and had a terrific time in Tampa, Orlando and on to Rockland.

Check with Google. They always seem to have the latest info on quilt stores in certain areas. Have fun.

Thanks for the info! Rainbow's End is one of the 3 local shops that are my regulars; Country Quilts in Clearwater (my main shop & where I take classes) and Happy Apple Quilt Shop in Palm Harbor are "my" shops. Definitely added Sewing Studio to my list Rosyhf!

The Bernina Sewing Center in Lake Mary, Wandering Stitches in Orlando (near the airport), and as already mentioned the Sewing Studio in Maitland. These are all great shops.
