I just learned the hard way that SAS2 gunks up the needle on a snowman applique quilt. I just kept wiping it off with my fingers. I like the suggestion of using alcohol on a cotton ball, but there won't be a next time for me.

Thanks for everyone's help. I probably won't buy it next time. I even tried to email the company, and their 'contact us' section was such a pain that I finally said 'heck with it'.
