Vicki did you sell your quilt? I bet there were lots of bids and think what a wonderful donation you have indeed!

It will be put in the booth to sell at a craftshow in November. I hope it will sell. I sold a couple things last year for breast cancer. I have this one and another pink/green/white one for the booth this year. If sold, money goes to breast cancer. I just charge the cost of the fabrics & as they are mostly scraps, someone gets good prices. That pink/black/white one has scraps from previous quilts & the black is scraps from my grandson's graduation quilt 2 years ago. The pink/green/white are all scraps & estate finds. My time & effort is my contribution.

VickiM, that's good that you can get reimbursed for the fabric. I live in a condo, and was making things for breast cancer for our big Chinese auction. I wanted to get reimbursed for the cost, and they wouldn't let me. sorry to say, i'm disabled, so I needed the cash to buy more fabs to make more goods to sell or auction. since they wouldn't let me, I no longer make for them. I too felt my time and effort was my contribution, they didn't think so. also, I was the only one there MAKING things, the rest was bought goods. To bad people don't see what our time is worth.

Lynnie...whatever they sell for I give to breast cancer...I'm not being reimbursed for the fabric...customer pays the money donated & I contribute my time making them. I think your situation is wrong, what they did to you. I wouldn't be doing it anymore, either, if they did it to me. Sometimes people don't understand what goes into making something handmade...people are just so into the "new".........sorry they did that to you.

Hi Marion...happy wanderer! This wanderer is fixing to go to New Orleans, LA next week for a week. Another reunion for which I made a medallion wallhanging for their raffle. Then home a couple days & then heading down to Palmetto, FL to visit with a cousin who is having health issues. Will be there about a week. Then Oct. starts the craftshow season! I'm just trying to keep my head above water!!! Hopefully, I can get in on the next mysterytrain there somewhere...
