If I did sashing would use same colour as the background to kaleidoscopes.

alternate the direction of the kaleidoscopes. At present have same rotation on same side swop the bottom two and see if you feel the pattern is more appealing.

I love your blocks and see nothing wrong with the pattern they make in the middle. Keep going, it will be a pretty quilt.

I like the sashed one. The image in the center would make me uncomfortable. Maybe because I'm from the South, but that image is negative to me.

I agree with DOTTYMO. Two blocks rotate one way and two blocks rotate the opposite way. By alternating the rotations, I find the center is more pleasing.

I also se that secondary pattern, like Sewnoma, but I understand what you mean about a design wall. I am not sure how I would manage without one for myself.. There are a lot of quilters that do though

Thanks for all the comments. Sprice I know what you mean. I actually see the grim reaper here. Or maybe the grim seam Ripper! Sorry could not help myself. I am going to take it apart once I get over the joy of the perfect matching, flat seams in the middle of the quilt. I took a photo so I could remember it forever because I may not see it again. I will post a photo once the center is symmetrical. Thanks all

I never saw the use..then my niece sent me on for x-mas one year, and I don't know how I survived without it! There is just something about seeing your blocks on a wall, instead of the floor or a table..makes a world of difference!

I think it looks great and the whirligigs are awesome! However, I know when something bothers you you have to fix it so hope you find something you like.
