    I found this interesting and home it is helpful to come of you as well. It shows just how different variegated thread can be when off the spool and before it hits your quilt.

    Thanks for posting. I've also found, thru trial and error, if you want the thread colors to show, you have to pick a quilting design that will really show off the variegation. If there's lots of contrast in the thread colors, a quilting design with lots of backtracking just muddies the colors.

    Interesting but I normally drizzle my thread over my quilt before I begin quilting it.

    Thanks for sharing that link. I've never thought about laying out the thread before and I've been disappointed with the results using variegated thread.

    interesting I knew to puddle thread on your fabric & I do that with any thread because you would be surprised at the difference of how it looks off the spool as on the spool. I didn't know the tip about looking at it from the top of the spool. You can see the different colors better in it. Thank you for sharing
