Dotty -- every one is a winner in my book! Love the bright and snappy colors.

Bluebonnets -- only other way is to lay on your cutting board and trim, but from experience, I can tell you I never seemed to get them perfect that way. But don't dispair, you don't have to have it tomorrow, wait for Joann to finally get their act together

I have had good trimming results the last 4 years with a June Tailor JT-732 'perfect 1/2 triangle...etc....ruler But I have heard from others that there was a batch made that was not accurate...Checked the slots in mine with a steel ruler and they are correct.... so if you measure before you buy...I can recommend this ruler

how is that for long winded....now I need a nap.

Judy...swamp cooler is what we had at a (water-ski)vacation trailer at the Colorado River when I was a teen.....it worked very well.....here and now it is two fans...but winter is almost here...right?

Well, I got mine done but my camera battery died so I can't post a picture!
I did my HST's with the 8 at a time method and used the Tucker Trimmer to clean them up...perfecto!!

here's a couple links for the 8 at a time method, easy peazy!

SuziSew Thank You for the sites. May I ask you what size did you make your large blocks to begin the marking?
I just wanted to know if you were going for a 5" block at the start.

Every day I get up and say, is it winter yet? Needless to say, our winter here lasts from mid December to late January. Lucky if we only get a freeze once in a while, and maybe a half dozen nights with a frost.
Are you in the mountains? I was in the San Fernando Valley, northern edge of Los Angeles.
