I've been adding sort of a racing stripe on my borders. On yours as a suggestion only a 2-3" border in the background fabric, then a 1.5" stripe in a color you want to stand ut and then finish off with a larger background border. Been doing this for my last couple quilts and really like the look. Plus for those quilts that just need a little more size added to them, this works..........at least for me it did.
Love the colors in your quilt, so bright and cheerful. Put on the sunglasses...:-)

I like the idea of a small white border to stop the eye. I would add another border to tie in the backing. This would depend on who you are giving it to and what they prefer. (I think a blue backing and blue border to match the medium dark blue in the logs would be smashing!)

I also agree. I would sew a narrow border of the white fabric you used and then try a piano keyboard. If that doesn't look good, then try one of the darker blues. I don't want anyone to take offense but the binding is the part of the quilt that gets the most abuse so I would never use white binding. It will constantly look dirty all the time.
