finished in the wee small hours (cooler hours) this morning packed up and off to the 24/7 post office ..yeah..
on the drive back...realized...no photo....so will try for a picture when it arrives.....sitting next to the sewing machine is the leftover fabric which might fill a 1/4 measuring cup. Used from stash only a total of six different fabrics..3 were autumn leaf/assorted but all the same hues....the big piece with a bit of metallic rusty/gold is the backing...the other two worked together/interchangeably on the front(oak and maple fall to the ground together?right?)...it is still cool this morning....cannot believe forgetting to take photo....sigh.....cannot blame that on the heat....

Well here is my dilemma! I originally decided on the green, but when I put it on the display wall I was not enamored with it. The green in actually in the print - but there is not a lot of it in there. So I pulled out a rose color that is in the print. Give me a hand gals, which do you prefer???

I think the green isn't quite the right tone to work well with the print. The rose matches really well and while bright, also accents the print nicely and draws attention to it. A navy might also work if you reverse the center, making the diamond the print and the corners the gold. If you want to do a green, I think you would need a more forest green or hunter green tone, the green pictured seems to be a bit too aqua...
