These are really fine quilts. Preset patterns are not generally my thing, either. To me, It's more fun that way. Yes, the fabrics "speak" to me as well.

I also love the monster quilt. Lucky Gunner. And I love the cornerstone blocks in the first quilt. Are those your own design also?

After reading your intro about not using patterns, then was amazed at the outcome, here comes your quotation,......try that new quilt pattern!... I think you can skip that part. I really love the bright one with the little monsters.... Great job on all

Your quilts are so unique and colorful and thoughtfully made. I love the first one and the corner blocks are different than any block I have seen. I think you are some kind of special person, filled with new thoughts and ideas. Keep up that innovative thinking.

Very creative work. I also like working with panels and being a renegade quilter just do my own thing. Some times I get to a point where I say "now what" but something alway comes to mind and I move forward. Keep up the good work.

Several people have asked about the little girl panel. It's from Elizabeth Studios and is called Best Friends as I recall. There were several of these in the series. Growing Up, School Days. Best Friends along with companion fabrics. Google the phrase including saying fabric panel and some online shops still have some of them.

You have an excellent skill at balancing and proportions. First quilt is very stunning.
