Don, you do some fantistic quilts! Perfect points all around, too. Uou will have to do "tute" on how you did the outer border.

I agree: Fantastic Quilts all around.
The border is Boston Blocks. I'm sure it has another name, but this is the name by which I know it.

You make it with a HST and a plain square laid RST. Mark a line from corner to corner, making an "X" with the seam already there. Sew 1/4 in on each side of this line and cut apart on marked line. You have two Boston Blocks.

There are many cute things to do with Boston Blocks, and Don's pyramids are just one configuration. You can use them to make Twisted Ribbons, too.
