Default The FWS 30's Quiltalong Week 12 Block 23 Charlotte & Block 24 Coral

Good Morning Ladies,
It's time to show all your pretties.. I can't comment on how mine turned out 'cause I didn't make them..I'm taking a time out from sewing as some health issues are snowballing into other issues.. I will continue to post the new threads every week..I just don't want the pressure or guilt of not doing them right now..

Short on eye candy this morning; do take your time healing, Honchey. Hope you feel better real soon. I have exhausted my supply of blocks this week when I used to be four weeks ahead. Had to check this morning and photograph Coral to add two today. Not sure what the black mark is in Charlotte; Coral looks to be crooked on the bottom but is not, just that camera angle again since some days I do not see as well as others. But life continues on, so soldiering onward.

Nice to see blocks from Jenny...nice colors again. Great job there.

Thanks Pam! I've decided to call my 'stash' a hodge-podge of impulse buys. I pulled fabric for a quilt I'm making for my own bed and it was all bright batiks and regular cottons in teals, aquas, pinks and dark blues. Realized I didn't have enough dark blue so I got to shop a bit today.

Honchey, Oh, my! It's so lovely that you post the thread, it's enough! Certainly don't feel guilty about not sewing. These blocks take time and thought for fabric choices, besides the actual cutting and sewing, and that time adds up. I've had computer issues last week and this week. My trial of Windows 10 ended and I lost all my programs, including basics like MS Word. I have a new schedule at work starting next week, and learning a new job there. And I still haven't finished the baby quilt for my new granddaughter. So much to do and so little time to do it! :-) I still have to do last week's blocks... but not giving up, even though I'm late. I made some PC blocks, but haven't take pictures of them.

The design in these look like they belong in a modern sampler, rather than a depression era quilt....nice blocks..

Take care Honchey..

Thanks for taking the time to post the thread, Anne. Hope you feel better soon. These were strange blocks, not sure I like either of them.

So sorry you're feeling bad, Anne, and thanks for keeping us going. Jan, I agree that these are strange blocks, but they were fun to make.
