Default New Placemats for our DD

Our DD and DSL(?) just moved to the UK so I made these up as a little house warming gift and a piece of home to send them. I really like doing placemats as I use it as an opportunity to try 'new to me' techniques in both piecing and quilting. I hope they like them!

The picture did not come through! Good luck to them in their new venture.

Beautiful table mats. You are tempting me to do free motion quilting. I really like to do table mats. Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely done. My friend has her daughter living in England too. These should cheer them up on rainy days which seems to occur quite often. (please remember, I live in So CA where it hardly EVER rains).

Thanks! I don't know if you noticed the fabric I chose on the back of the placemats speaks to that rainy weather . I just happened to have that on hand, and I thought, Perfect!!
