Please do a followup picture when you are finished. I like the way this is coming together and wonder how it will look and if I can do this. Thanks

MadQuilter, please post the link to yours. It's driving me nuts that I can't find it. I'm not on the same computer that I had when I bookmarked it.

I found Mad quilters post of her quilt, 'love it' not sure just how to tell you a link to get you there, but here is how I found it. I went to the quilt pictures section on the email page of this forum and did a search for mad quilters scrappy and this popped up -- What's your favorite pattern charity quilts dated 4-30-12 and mad quilter's was number 12. Maybe you can find it this way.

Mind if I ask how long each of your joined strip sections are? They look to be - 2 1/2" by about 6" each.

Madquilter said it can be done in 2 sizes. I am doing the smaller version because I wanted to use up smaller scraps. Mine are cut 2 inches by 5 inches. The finished sewn block of 5 pairs(neutral and dark) make a 8 X 8 inch block. I am going to make my blocks and then arrange and sew them together at the end so I get a good mix of colours.
I think the large size was 3-1/2 X 9 inch rectangles?

Thanks Tartan for the size information! However I'm a bit confused now, you stated that yours were cut 2x5 and the finished sewn bock of 5 pairs neutral and dark make a 8x8 " block. I will just have to make one up.I love your color choices so far, can' wait to see the finished quilt.

You cut 5 neutral 2 X 5 inch rectangles. You cut 5 dark 2 X 5 inch rectangles. When you sew a neutral and a dark together on the 45 * angle, this gives you an 8 inch strip.
5 of those 8 inch strips sewn together will give you a 8 inch square block containing 10 pieces of fabric.
