Thank you for the fun game of football. I'm so excited to win the contest. It is the first one I have entered.

Arrived home late late last night after being gone for almost 2 weeks, so tired.
Went to the International Quilt Festival in Houston, wow, talk about sensory overload (no pics allowed) plus 24 vendor rows & I only had time & energy for 8, ugh. Spent way too much on fabric, hard to get most of the nice stuff here.

Veterans Parade tomorrow, followed by luncheon for ~200, then off to the VA Hospital to deliver super desserts.
Busy week, then I will decompress. Then I will catch up on this thread. Happy birthday to all Novembers!!!!
hugs,
dj

Greetings from Vancouver BC. No quilting but WOW what a view! Mountains, water and just a touch of winter in the air. I am anxious to return to some quilting. I have been in a quilting famine for about two weeks. Just too much on my plate from work to give any time to my quilting fun. Looking forward to Thanksgiving and my guild's workdays. happy quilting to all.

Ack! I'm sorry I have not checked in! I have been working on a couple craft fairs and on my NEW Facebook page! So excited, but can be overwhelming, too. Glad you got your candies, Daisy Dew. Happylab, I'll send yours out next week.

So if you want to take a peek at my page (still quite under construction), look up "Sew It, Sister" on FB - Quilty gifts and kits by Peg R.

Checking in. It's been a rough couple of weeks. Started out with a nasty cold/flu bug ... the 3rd time I've had it since August ... and Saturday my eyes started bothering me. They got worse and worse, and I finally ended up in the E/R with "the worst case of pink eye the doctor has seen in a long time". He gave me some antibiotic drops and they're slowly getting better, but they're still very sensitive. I'm only on here for a second because the light from the computer screen ... even though it's set on the lowest brightness ... feels like I'm looking at the sun. He said I'm very contagious, so I've been having to be super-careful to make sure DH doesn't get it. I wouldn't wish this stuff on my worst enemy!

Anyway, I just wanted to check in so y'all will know I'm still kicking. Gotta turn the computer off now. Whew. I need some sunglasses.
