You did such beautiful quilting on it! What a treasure! If it were my heirloom quilt, I would have hand quilted it, but I'm terribly traditional. But you took a beautiful quilt top and made it outstanding! The family will cherish it!

woah! that's extraordinarily well done!

there are always going to be archivists and people who want everything to retain its historical integrity.

but i'm not one of them.

you turned an artifact into something terribly beautiful and useful. it's amazing.

Jut because a quilt is old doesn't make it an antique or worth more than the sentimental and cherished value. This is a beautiful quilt top and your quilting saved it. It is stunning. IMHO unless there is provenance with the quilt top it is hard to place worth as an antique. Having it finished and loved is more important than the age of the quilt, imho.

This is now an absolute stunner and I would even put it in shows for people to enjoy.
