Default English Paper Piecing

I have done minimal english paper piecing and have a couple of questions. Concerning the sewline glue pen: is it easy or hard to remove the papers if you use this glue and can you reuse these papers if they have had glue applied to them. Also I really like the black, red and gold all over quilt in Vicki Bellino's book English Paper Piecing (I purchased her second book and JoAnn's did not have the first book). I am wondering if anyone knows what size the hexagons are in this quilt in her first book. I may order it from Amazon as it was not available here but am unsure about working with tiny hexagons.

I use a glue stick and try to use just enough to hold the fabric in place. Use too much and you will have problem removing the paper. I usually only work with 1" hex. Measurement for them is the length of one side.

the glue stick is 1000 times faster prep work. I've used it on my last two EPP quilts.
Unless you gob it on the papers come right out with just a little tug.

What I hadn't thought about though, until I got out my Christmas EPP piece which I've never backed or quilted and have used on display for at least 10-12 years, is..if basted, that's ok All the back side seams lay down beautifully and they don't become ravelly.

with the glue stick the back looks pretty rough, although with patience pressing down things nicely can be done, and then flip to the front and press again. It will never be as neat as basted though, because we do the points differently with basted papers.

I baste the fabric only, not through the paper too, as some do.
