Beautiful machine. This is a W&G Handcrank made for the US Market. The ones imported to Europe had a different, fancier hand crank mechanism. Takes a WGx64 needle. I expect it has old gummy oil in it.

There is a W&G yahoo group and Lisa specializes in collecting W&G.

I want one soooo badly!

Congrats and enjoy!

That is a really nice machine, no doubt. I have seen many boxes that look very similar to what you have so it may have come with it. I wouldn't get rid of the box just in case. A real find, congrats.

The box may be a clue to why it is in such good condition !

Decals are in excellent condition. Do you think it might have had a face lift??

My guess is that's it's a natural beauty that has retained much of its youthful appearance.
