Right now we have 9 in the 2 month group but that probably doesn't help you much at this stage as there's been no serious discussion of doubling up yet. I cannot speak for the group about doubling up. I'm not going to tell you all what to do...you all can decide. Let's hold off that discussion for a few more days but those in the 2 month group might want to start thinking about whether they'd like to double up and by that I mean do two blocks per person. If you double up, with 9 in the group, you'd each be responsible for making 16 blocks, two for every other person. Give it some thought.

Ill do whatever anyone wants..don't mind doubling up. Here is a picture of the Carpenter Star that Ive made and I think Im going to use it for the center block and then put the blocks you all make around it. Hope that works for you all!!

I'm fine with doubling up, otherwise really not enough blocks. Would ask that differnt fabric is used in each block

joanliz very pretty Carpenters Star, it's on my to do list

Joan thats an awesome center for a quilt that is going to be beautiful.

Note I'll do whatever the group decides on if you want to double up I'll do it if the vote is just make one each I'll do that too I'm easy this time around.

I will be sitting this round out as well. I would love to play with the beautiful fabrics, but sometime next month I will have gallbladder surgery. Maybe next time.

I'd be fine with doubling up as long as it is not more then 16 blocks. I doesn't matter to me if I make two blocks for each participant or one as long as it is not more then 16 or so blocks for the swap. I would also ask for different fabric to be added and a different pattern to be used and will do the same for the other participants.

I'm in the 3 month group & I was wondering, do all my eighths have to be the same? Can I have 6 of three different fabrics? Trying to do this first one from my stash & have found a couple more pieces I could use some inspiration on.

Will have to make another one for the 17th! I think Im going to send the fabric I made a carpenters star out of that is probably 24" square. I had no idea how to use the rest of the fabric but after seeing some on here I thought it might be good to send you all the orange fabric in the star and have you make orange/white blocks to put around the big star, maybe with a border inbetween.. I have about 3 yards of the orange...didn't think Id ever use it but Im thinking this might work!

Another question I bought this pack of 10" squares. There are 3 of each fabric...Its main color I blue but has some purple in it also. Anyone have a suggestion for 10" squares in a quilt? Ive made the disappearing hour glass and pinwheel and others but don't especially care for the cutting up of the blocks...you have to be very persice when making the disappearing blocks and Im not that patient!
    I love these fabrics.

i love these fabrics. So rich looking. Are they from one manufacturer? Did you buy online? I had a packet of quarters from one line & I didn't want to cut them "down to size" either. I found this pattern that allowed each to be used loud & large.
I tried this last night but it disappeared. I may be doing something wrong.
