Allietare! - Bonnie Hunter's 2015 Mystery Quilt
#1771
All of the quilts are so beautiful. I can't wait to finish mine but I have a really bad cold right now that has taken all of my energy and flown away. My sewing room is being remodeled but I have a small space where I can cut out some of my pieces. Getting to my sewing machine is going to be a big challenge. Thanks for all of the inspiration you have given me; I was close to giving up with all of the confusion and then I saw the unique quilts that were finished and I decided to go for it.

Hopefully the picture will be here. I did a double color binding on a straight boarder. I love it! My favorite Bonnie Hunter mystery so far, have done 3 so far and 1 is still in progress.

Joe's mom - your BHMQ is awesome. I'm still way behind and found out that I made 2 1/2" HST's rather than 2"! Now, do I see if I have enough material to make new ones or waste a lot of material! You ladies are inspiring me!

Terry, please post pictures of your 3 Allietares... I would really love to see them in your different color ways. Maybe you can inspire me to get my ONE finished! I agree... This is my favorite BH mystery quilt too. She really knocked this one out of the park!

Third try for picture. to clarify, this is my 3rd Bonnie Hunter completed quilt...not third one of THIS mystery!!!!
To do double color binding, cut one strip 1 1/4" (color of binding) and one strip 1 3/4" (flange color). sew together to make 2 1/2" binding. fold in half and press. sew on back side with flange side on top. when folded over to front only a little of flange color should show. Clear as mud?

It turned out beautiful, Terry! I wish the pic was bigger so I could see some of the details like your quilting, the fabrics and the flanged binding. Oh well. Question about your binding. Do you machine sew it on the front?
