Default Quilt shops in Oregon

My husband surprised me with a trip to Oregon with the promise of visits to some quilt shops. I need to know which ones are a must see. Thanks for your help.

My favorite is Center Diamond in Cannon Beach, Or. Lots of beachy fabrics.

There's a big one in Sisters, OR. I thought it was a bit overpriced though. In Eugene there is http://www.piecebypiecefabrics.com/ and in nearby Springfield there is http://www.somethingtocrowabout.com/ which has a ton of primitive fabrics.
Oregon is utterly fantastic! What a fantastic trip! I miss going there to visit. If you make it to Eugene track down http://sweetlifedesserts.com/ only thing bad about it is that there are too many fantastic desserts to choose from!

This site will tell you where the shops are anywhere: http://www.quiltinghub.com/Find/Quilt-Shops The place to go is Fabric Depot in Portland. It is the costco of fabric. Other places - Teatime Calico in Tigard, Cotton Patch in Salem/Keizer, Forgetmeknot in Bandon. Let me know if you need some site seeing tips...Travel Oregon!

I would definitely recommend The Stitching Post in Sisters, Or. I was lucky enough to go to the Sisters Outdoor Quilt show two years ago which is quite famous. The little town was packed full of people but it was a beautiful quilt show in a beautiful setting. I'd love to go back to the town sometime and be able to better explore the quilt shop and other shops and galleries when it isn't so crowded. We travelled from Nebraska specifically for the show and loved our whole visit in Oregon.

For fabric, Fabric Depot in Portland is a must-see with good prices, big sales, and a huge selection. Quilt shops that I really liked when I lived in Albany are Finally Together in Lebanon, Purple Frog in Jefferson, Jannilou in Philomath, and Quilt Loft in Albany (very small but also very friendly). I agree that Stitching Post is pricey, but Sisters is a neat little town that has a lot of shops worth visiting.

Finally Together Quilt Shop 54 West Ash Street Lebanon, Oregon 97355 (541) 258-6006

My friend lives in Cottage Grove (near Eugene) and I stayed the summer with her. We did a shop hop and hit 10 shops from Springfield to the Coast. This was by far the most fabulous shop! They all had great fabrics, etc. but this was large, clean, well organized, lots of notions and wonderful staff! We weren't able to spend alot of time in any one shop but this one sure stuck in my mind! A mother and daughter own it, and had wanted a shop for years, they are now FINALLY TOGETHER!

Quilters Cove 27 North Coast Highway Newport, Oregon 97365 is a great shop as well.

There is Homestead quilts in La Pine,Or. where I live. The ladies who own the place are the sweetest people.

It's right on the main street in town, Highway 97.

Forget-Me-Knot in Bandon. It's my favorite on the coast and I go there every year. I can spend enough time there that dh always sends me alone so he doesn't have to wait in the car. We have a 5th wheel so he just stays at camp!
