if you can financially afford a new machine, go shopping.
I want a new machine BL dynasty, but its not in the budget. Doesn't stop me from dreaming.

I have been thinking about the Juki F600 Exceed too. I have the Juki TL2010Q which I use for FMQ and straight stitch quilting. However, I am really tempted to get into crazy quilts, and would like to embellish with embroidery. I was wondering if the F600 Exceed might be the machine for me. I can't afford the price of a full-blown embroidery machine. Juki machines are generally very affordable.

I'm also in the process of deciding on a machine for FMQ and have looked at the Juki TL2010Q. Am I to assume that the Juki F600 just has additional stitches? I don't remember seeing that one. This is a good time to purchase machines because there are many rebates because of March being National Craft month.

Always start my morning with the quilting board. Thanks to everyone for their great hints and ideas.

I am another Juki2010Q owner... and love it. I always prefer a mechanical machine over computerized, in their plastic housings. I don't care for machine embroidery and don't need fancy stitches so I am really happy with the Juki 2010. I'm a bit of a traditionalist with machines. I also collect and use vintage machines. They are wonderful for piecing.

I think you've come to the wrong place to be talked out of anything sewing or quilting related.

I just upgraded to a Pfaff 5.0, I never thought I needed all the computerized features and stitches but it was so worth buying it. And I agree that you are asking the wrong people to talk you out of any quilting related product.
