Scraps are like dust bunnies, they hide under the bed and multiply. They never go away. I have finally started depositing my printed lines scraps on the free table at Guild. My batik scraps I keep.

Love this!! I think I'll do what JustFlyingIn said.....I've got strips in shoeboxes....a mess.....might as well throw them in a small laundry basket and dig out what you need. I might also get on this project this summer. Free quilts

Nice scrappy! It is great to have scrappy quilts around. I'm going to start one for the grandkids to drag around on the sofa.

When you make one like this are you paper piecing it or just sewing the strips next to each other?
Good Morning Ginger,
I had and still have, a partial bolt of fabric that I now dislike so I used it for 6 inch blocks that I used as a foundation to sew the strips of fabric together on.....I still have lots more 6 inch blocks to go !!!!!

Thanks for letting me know about the foundation. I've read that some use phone books. We very, very seldom get a real phone book. What do you use that you may have at home as a foundation?

TIA

I love this layout. And I agree: do not hide them away in the closet; put them out where you can watch them.

The trick is to keep the male scraps and the female scraps separated!
