Joan glad it was as simple as a light bulb! I love the spring forward, hate when we fall back and it gets dark starting at noon (maybe a slight exaggeration)

Here is a pic (maybe two) of Beautimous and her sister today. They feel much spunkier now they have a couple of days under their belts. These two are genetically similar, and share several gene sets. Beautimous is the one w/ the darker head.

Hey just stalkin' y'all from the slow group... I did the Funky chicken swap a couple years ago and this is what I ended up with as the top. Still waiting to be quilted but it's not alone!

I loved this swap because my Dad was living with us when all the blocks came in. He loved doing jig saw puzzles so fitting them together was a hoot for him. We ended up making several more blocks to fill in the missing places. His favorite that he designed was the long legged chickens with striped legs. He would just about double over when he'd point it out to someone. He also thought the cracked egg with legs was great. If someone hears about another chicken swap, I'd be game to jump in.

This is terrific! So much fun. What fond memories of your dad is attached to this quilt.
I love your top! I think my favorite is the striped, long legged chicks too. I've already picked out 3 different patterns for when we do get the Chick Swap going later on. I'm looking forward to that one, right after I concentrate on my Boom blocks.

The final package of F8s is at my post office and will be delivered today. And since today is the deadline for F8s, it's perfect! So, assuming it arrives, I'll package up tomorrow and will plan to ship on Wednesday. IF, and only IF, all goes perfectly smoothly, like no "help" from one of my cats, and I don't struggle with the USPS website, I might be able to ship tomorrow afternoon. Maybe. Either way, most of you should have your F8s by the end of this week. Almost there, Boomers, almost there!
