I prefer the one on the right if picking from just thos 2. I would think a solid or mottled batik would go well.

I prefer the bottom border as the colors and scale of the background seem to compliment the body of the quilt better. Your star blocks are inspiring.

I would go with a solid also. too much competition with the florals. I sure like your quilt though

I agree with Prism99. You have a beautiful busy quilt top and putting a busy border on it doesn't for me work well. Do you have any tonals in your stash to try?? I would try a soft yellow or the soft mint you used in the quilt.

I agree with Prism99, the florals are competing with the blocks, a solid or blender would be my suggestion. I've been using more solids/blenders on my borders of late and then adding a fancier border quilting pattern to spice them up. Even using a matching colored thread they stand out on their own.

The bottom one. Or, use blue like the square centers of the sashing.
