It is beautiful. Mostly it is important to keep the even indirect sunlight off it. I keep my 100 year old quilt folded up in a pillowcase in halves and then I refold it in thirds. Never used it but the single fold binding has been worn in places.

I was told that unless you have a written appraisal, insurance company considers it a "blanket" to replace: $6.00 to $8.00 value. Keep the appraisal separate from the quilt. Also cedar chests are the worst place to store antique Quilts... oily wood stains.

Beautiful; a lot like my antique quilt my Paternal G. Mother made about 1900. Will post some day.
I do all of he things the other girls said, plus fold with quilt side folded in,and change the fold fair often.

It looks to be in pretty good shape for an 80 year old quilt. I'm afraid I don't have any advice on caring for it, other than I've heard that sun can damage the fabrics, but I would have to defer to those more knowledgeable than myself. I think it's a great quilt and what a treasure to have.
