Thanks for the compliments -- it's very encouraging. Yes, oksewglad, it's a twin-size and, except for the sashing strips, all one-inch squares. I do the blocks for relaxation and sew pairs, etc., as leaders and enders. These PS quilts are long-term projects, and this is the second one I've put together. I think I now have enough blocks for another top.

You can make these shortcut blocks 12 1/2" if you so choose. it's all about the size of template you use.

When I first posted my methods on the QB in 2009 a friend of mine took one of my quilt blocks and made it into a 24" wall hanging she hung in her hallway. It is very flexible size wise. you are not locked into any particular size unless you are making a key chain or book mark etc.
The templates arrived. Thank you for your kind and generous help and gift of templates. Hopefully this weekend I get to play with them. Something small, very small, will be my first try. Maybe a 6 inch coaster with 2 1/2 inch Rhonda style blocks for my coffee mug.

Do you turn most tiny quilts or bind those tiny ones?

Glad you got the templates okay! I don't bind anything. I use the birthing method or it's called the pillowcase method. I lay the front face to face with the back with batting in between and sew around the edge leaving an opening. then turn it right side out and sew around the edge to finish it.

Unlike Rhonda, I bind most of mine. The little log cabin in this siggie block is the smallest I will ever bind. It finishes at 1 5/8"..
