Default Who wants to meet up in Paducah this year?

If you're going to Paducah and want someone to show you the 'ropes', I'm available on Thursday. QB members who would like to get together could meet up with me and you'd get a chance to have the guidance of an insider.

My car seats 5 and I'd be more than happy to show you around town.

Mom knows all the little juicy tidbits about the quilts and would be happy to help. We'd do the show, Finkle's shops and the hurt books, Eleanor Burns and the Cherry Center with the antique quilts...or anything else you'd like to see.

What do you think? Anyone want to?

Sounds like fun. But, I won't be going until Saturday and will have a car full of sisters. Don't buy everything out before I get a chance

    I'm going up Saturday, too.
I'll be the one walking around like a kid in a candy shop - eyes and mouth wide open!

Saturday is actually very nice, most of the bus tours have left and the crowds are much smaller...still a lot to see and do. Vendors are all still there and have a great selection.

The show is closing at 4 PM on Saturday this year, so keep that in mind.

I should be able to meet up on Thursday. I already bought my show admission for Thurs and Friday so that would be nice. I'm coming alone. It would be fun to meet you Melodyr... you have been so helpful already.

bummer, I wish I could go. It's on my bucket list but since I just spent three days at MQX (Machine Quilter's Exposition) in Manchester, NH... I can't take any more time from my business without feeling guilty. : )

Sounds good! We'll sort out the details. and decide what we want to do...I assume you'd like to do as much as possible. I forgot to mention fabric shopping too.

As far as places that take pets, if you call early enough in the year, there should be a number of pet-friendly hotels. I'm not sure how much is available now. You could call some of the big chains and see if there is a cancellation. Here's a link where thebulk of the lodging is located: http://www.therealplaces.com/hotels-...ducah/Exit%204

We'll do the big bargain warehouse across from the Quilt Museum! Lots of great stuff there...quality fabric discounted.
Eleanor Burns has bargains too. Prices vary across the whole convention, but the most bang for your buck are at those two places. I'm always looking for specific stuff, so might pay a bit more if I find it at a booth (wizard of OZ fabric) There's so much more than fabric though...I always go to the Pro Chem booth and drop some $$$ They sell fabric dyes and I do silk scarves. Then, there's always the stuff you don't know you want...HA!

Anyone else want to join us? There's room for more if you want to come along.
