Shorted on fabric--need ideas

I'm in the buy a fabric that incorporates all the colors. I made a lot of butterfly blocks from scraps, then took them to the store to find something for a border. Nothing I would have picked at the beginning but was perfect for the finish.

I would add borders. Either a cream and then a black or a flying geese (black on white) with another black border. You could do it just on the top and bottom if you don't need extra for the sides, but if you have enough fabric, I would probably do all four sides.

It's so pretty the way it is, I wouldn't do anything to it, except possibly add a small white border and then a black border, but it looks great the way it us and people like to cuddle under lap quilts. I hope you do well at your church.

You folks are always so helpful and ingenious. I was shorted on fabric, either by the pattern or by the store, but I figured I would just make a lap quilt for a raffle quilt. Everyone in my little church group thought a twin-size quilt would go over much better. I don't have nearly enough fabrics left to make any more blocks, and I'm about 16 inches shorter than a twin. Any ideas on extending the length on one or both ends without detracting from the main pattern? The only fabrics I have yardage of is the black and the cream. Ideas? Bless you in advance!

It's a really vibrant pattern with colors that really pop. My opinion is to leave it as is. But if you want to add a border, do you have enough leftover of each fabric to make a running rainbow stripe?
I'm thinking black border, then wider cream, then followed by maybe a 2-3" "racing stripe" of colors (end-to-end), then cream. Black binding. However, my gut tells me it wouldn't be AS good as a simple black binding on what you have finished. I think a piano key border in black and white might be too busy. Piano keys of all colors might be okay.
