Default how to get names printed on fabric

My daughter in law is graduating college in Dec with her masters and I want to make a quilt for her symbolizing the 2 colleges she has attended. I have t-shirts, patches, collegiate colored fabrics, but I would like the have a couple of blocks with the school name and month/year she graduated. Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this? I want blocks about 8x8. thanks

I use my ink jet printer and a word program.
I cut freezer paper to the size of a sheet of paper and iron my fabric i want printed on
    to the freezer paper.

    this explains it:

A WORD program would work, but I don't have one so I've used PhotoShop.

TAP (Transfer Artist Paper) by Leslie Riley will allow you to transfer letters, photos, drawings, and painted images/letters from ink-jet printer or by hand onto fabric (and many other things like wood, metal, glass ,etc.). They need to be in reverse on TAP as it is placed face down and ironed for the transfer.

I have done several quilt labels for some of the gals. If you wish I could do yours. I only ask that you provide correct spelling for words and the material if you wish a special material for the blocks. would also need the size of the font.

A member of our board, sewnsewer2 , has embroidered 3 sets of names for 3 of our grands when they graduated high school. They had the school name, mascot, & year on them. Beautiful. She always sends you a proof so you can approve the design before she makes them.
