I think if you cut a 6 1/2 square with one fabric & a 2 1/2 sashing around it with the other fabric & then make another block with the fabric reversed would make a beauty of a quilt & the blocks would finish at 8 inches. You could go bigger or smaller on the blocks. That would be your choice. Love the fabric.

I would make the orange and white into a background for an applique in a child's theme and border with the other fabric. I would add a third color (maybe the same orange) for sashing and maybe an inside border.

I thought there were 3 fabrics when I first answered. But with two, a checkerboard might be fun.

you might sit with a friend who has electric quilt software. Import your fabrics, and audition various quilt variations to find some thing that appeals to you.
