WOW..I cant beleive how much prettier the blocks are in person vs in pictures. I have looked at them several times and am in awwwwww at some of the paper pieced ones...I got my center piece out and thought about laying them out but sleep called my name before I could do it...I DID go to work but left at 11 because of a sore throat and coughing. Hope to be able to lay out the blocks soon. Yours are absolutely beautilful just laid out Billi..cant wait to see them put together! THANK you to everyone for swapping..I LOVE all of them!

Ladies, I can tell all of you honestly.....and Janice..I opened the owl blocks today, received 5 and I had made 4. It's already sewn together and has 1 border on it. Another border tomorrow and it will be ready to quilt and bind. All your blocks were exactly 12 1/2" and pieced very nicely with matching seams. This boom in all honesty was a first, correct size, piecing great and colors requested were honored. Thank you so much. Will post a pic tomorrow. I'll open the "jungle" blocks tomorrow and I'm sure it will be the same. These will make cute quilts for my new granddaughter. Again thank you, I hope you are as pleased with my blocks to you as I am receiving yours!

Here's the owls, just have to hand sew the binding. It's 44" square, think that's a good size for baby quilt. Front and back

Jaba that came out adorable now I understand why you only wanted the chocolate brown. Good idea and it worked out beautifully.

Awesome Jaba, I love your addition of that touch of yellow to the alternate blocks, really brightens it up.

I laid out the orange block along with the Carpenters Star ...Im still thinking..It needs some sashing...the middle is equal to 2 blocks sewn together but I want it a little bigger.. I dont like this part of the process. I have more of the orange in the star but I think that would be too much orange. I have enough of my orange to make four or more blocks if i need to. My orange has blue, yellow, rust, green black in it or a grey would be soft too...I think Ill think on it some more!

Love your baby quilt Jaba!! Cant wait to see the Flintstones one!

Have you thought of using a white or WOW as the sashing. It would be more subtle, not take away from the "star" which is the orange, but add the little bit of space between the blocks to give the eye a bit of rest.

Darling. The addition of your own blocks with the yellow really adds a lot to it. And the green border. See, I'd never have done that and see how fine it looks! Great job!
