dhanke, your blocks are beautiful, they look quite nice without a sashing too, but would be hard to get those seams to play together probably.

I may sash them very narrowly with the navy to float them.

Dhanke - Love the colors in your blocks, and love your explaining about the fussy cutting, etc. The blocks do look like they were cut from different fabric with the same coloring. Great job!

dhanke and paintmejudy - very nice blocks. I made my too, but I will wait with adding sashing

my table isn't so large and I think it will looking nice with 3 blocks for it.

I read that the size is 32x32 inch. Perhaps there comes a further round with 4 inch blocks all around, so my topper would be 32x20 inch if I take only 3 of the blocks. I wait until the next saturday .

Judy - many thanks for your work with the tabletopper!! Very nice pattern

OK, I ripped and changed the background triangles and also used different gold/yellow fabric, and moved the blue around to show more of it. I have one done and three to go, but got the replacement parts all cut and waiting. Will probably sew the other 3 blocks tomorrow then decide about sashing. I like Veronika's idea of making a table runner. Anyway, here they are so far...

Just brainstorming... anybody who is looking for an idea for a Christmas gift... Use a Poinsettia print for A and green for part of the HST blocks; and it will end up looking like a Christmas flower with four little green leaves peeking out from behind.

Veronika, Your blocks really turned out beautifully.
We just got home from moving Amish cattle, horses, etc all over all day - 10 hours in the truck is too much for me. I just got the clue for today and definitely will make a larger lap-sized quilt. I have plenty of fabric and will start cutting in the morning. I have been on the road all week except for Thursday so got a little quilting done then along with other necessary chores! I am exhausted now from 2 long days on the road, so will go to sleep soon. Hope tomorrow is a good day for sewing! I put together some fat quarters for another lap quilt last night and need to look out some solids or tone-on-tones to go with them and another lap quilt will be born from the "rejects" from one fat quarter collection I got for the 365 Challenge Quilt I am doing.

If all goes well, I will have pictures of at least the 4 blocks for this project soon. I need to cut fabric for more blocks and should get that done tomorrow. I think I will use brown for sashing and binding. Will see when I lay it all out.

I trimmed my blocks down to 4 ¼ " each.... sacrificed some inner points....Need to be patient to see what the border design is before I decide on my sashings.....

Gee ya all have some really pretty blocks. Isn't it great that Judy makes those wrong blocks just to show us what not to do? That is what you did isn't it Judy?

Thimblebug I really like that green around the edge of your blocks.
