I know your pain. I felt the same way about a Carpenter's Star that I made so I took the WHOLE pieced top apart & changed one fabric that just didn't work for me. It was a ton of work BUT I was so much happier with the change.
Your quilt top looks just fine the way it is but I also like the other fabric too. What you have to decide is "is the change worth all that work" ? It might be easier to make an entirely new top. Let us know what you decide. If you have one of those electric or battery powered stitch rippers you would have it apart in a few minutes. I have one & it is awesome & would not be without one. Good luck.

I like this one. The second color choice is nice but the one you made is great.

I LOVE it the way it is!

    Other thoughts...
that will be a lot of work ripping out your great intersections out. Finish this quilt and start another one!

Second, in my opinion, the 'medium pink' you have in there now is a perfect choice! It's value and contrast is between the darker pink and bird fabric with the lighter background. I think the dark pink, you're suggesting as an option, reads 'dark' like the red squares that would be next to it.

Lastly...I'd audition that 'medium pink' as a binding option. You never know!

Let us know what you decide.

I agree. The white should be a very light shade of one of the other colors. Maybe light, light gold or light pink. Just my preferences. The pink is fine to me.

This is for one of your sisters. Does she quilt? Probably not, is my guess. So, because you, her dear sister, took the time, energy, expense to make her this lovely quilt, she will be thrilled and proud.....your 'trip' is lovely as is....maybe, if you have enough, use that darker shade as a border or as suggested a binding....this is not the hill you want to die on!

By now, I'm sure you've made a decision about what you are going to do... But I just want to say, I like the fabrics and colors in your original photo. It would be very pretty just as is......

I immediately thought the white looking squares didn't blend in with the others so much but it's what you like that counts! It's going to be a beautiful quilt whatever you decide! Good luck!
