Just my personal opinion, but the borders need to be plain-er. You make a busy quilt way too busy with those borders. Try putting a plain, small print, one of the fabrics from the quilt and see how that looks.

I have a paid for long arm screaming at me.

I love what you have made. I think I will vote to either no border or the big flowers. I know everyone is saying the big flowers will distract but it looks like it would be a very unique and attractive quilt with the big flowers. I am not the best expert on what goes and what doesn't tho. I guess it's what you like best. You've made a lovely quilt no matter what.

Love pinwheels and love how you put them together...awesome. I think I favor the solid border or not sure it needs one.

Isn't Bloc Loc great? Love the double pinwheel idea. I choose the first border

I love your quilt design. That is a great way to use up scraps and it would be a beautiful way to do a baby quilt in pastels. I like the solid border but maybe put a small white or light color border between or flange around the center. Good for you for re-doing your old blocks, it was worth it.

Great idea on the overall design, to create the big pinwheel. I may have to steal that idea . I would go with the plain purple.

I also think no borders, but if it needs to be bigger, I would go with tone on tone neutrals. Maybe charcoal grey & lighter grey. I think the prints you are auditioning are overwhelming the piecing.
    The quilt is just stunning!!!!

What great inspiration, to make a large pinwheel quilt out of smaller pinwheels. Great thinking!

Neat that you persevered with this. Well worth the effort! Pretty pinwheels!
For borders, I'd suggest a small lighter one, to float the design, then maybe a bit larger border of a medium-tone print. Perhaps a med. green or an aqua.....
