Has anyone heard of a Perfect Pleater?

If that is what I think it is that would be great for someone who does to make smocking items/baby outfits I use to but those days are over for me lol I stay with quilting things

My Aunt would just use ruler or old blinds. She had quite the knack for different types of smocking. She made her daughters fan for her bridal bouquet and smocked the front bodice of her daughters wedding dress and also the sleeves. The bridemaid dresses had smocking on the bodice and that was it.

Is that the board where you pleat your fabric and then iron in the pleats? It is for pleated skirts. Never used one but read about it in the catalog. I think Annie's catalog has it.

Yes, I have one from the days when "manipulated" fabrics became popular in quilts. Have rarely used it.

I bought what is called a ruffler but I have seldom used it.

I have been searching for mine for about a year now...
I've had it for 30 years or so- I used it mainly for doing decorative vests, shirts etc, when you stitch across the pleats one way, then stitch across the next row in the opposite direction.
Also I have made a LOT of pleats for towel edges to coordinate fabric with the rest of the decor. I does work
well, but definitely has limited usage.
