This AM we went to buy me some shoes. Mine are 6 years old. They have started separate the sole from the rest of the shoe. They are starting to rub blisters. It so hard to find shoes that are small enough for me. I wear a woman's size 5 or a child's size 3.5. Most shoe places that carry woman's shoes didn't have any that were small enough. Then the children's shoes are all...well...juvenile. I finally found a pair of boy's black Nike's.
Well, that is outta the way. I worked for several hours in the sewing room. Then I remembered that I needed to take the Kenmore sewing machine to my DF. (I got it from Goodwill for $27 for her.) Also, I have 3 bins that I had arrived home w/the wrong lids so I needed to take those back to Walmart to get the right lids. So I ran those errands & got home at around 4. Did some more stuff in the sewing room. I am bushed now. I think I have about 85% of it done. We are heading out tomarrow so I guess I will finish up when we get back.

Bev, do you have two homes you go back and forth between, Brady and Midland TX? That has got to be hectic. How far apart are they?

My daughter has the same size foot as you. She is only 5 feet tall and always wears stacked heels or platforms to give her a few more inches. It's hard to find the small sizes. And forget the children's shoes having heels! Glad you found something that could work for you. There's a shoe store online-- Zappos. They have everything. I'm sure you could find size 5s there.

Just finished cutting border triangles out of my feedsacks for the emb. quilt. Now it's time for bed!

Sorry I can't do the license plates right now DH has been in hospital for 17 days. Yesterday was a very bad day, he tries to get out of bed so they turned on the monoters and they can catch him now. I don't know if this is the beginning of the end or not. I had to do laundry this am, I usuall don't get home until 11 pm so I'm really tired then. Thanks for your prayers. Hope your day is better than mine will be.

GrannyQ, you are not alone; we are with you and our prayers for you both. One above all things walks with you. Whatever will be, will be. May He give you more strength to face what He wills and also lets you rest when you can. Life is never easy or simple but has some bad bumps along the way. Sorry you are having to deal with the pain, the unknown, and see your love of your life suffer so much. We are as close as this, or you can call me anytime. QNS.

I went Shop Hopping to Hattiesburg MS today, after a row pattern. It's chickens in a coop and I was pleasantly surprised to see it's even cuter in person than I saw online. Only $12.99 for the kit, too. Not bad.

A nice lady on the board is going to go buy me the row kit from Heavenly Stitches in Kingsport TN. That's the one I REALLY REALLY want! It's a beautiful row.

Another favorite is the kit I got from a local shop called Cotton Blossom Fabrics. It's an exact replica of the Mississippi delta at sundown!

This is the one I got in the Jackson Bernina store, a magnolia tree with a bird on a nest.

Is anyone else going to make a quilt?

SBG, I have a house in Brady that was my DGM's. DGDad died in 2005. DGM sold it in 2006. DH bought it for me in 2012. In 2014 DGM died. We considered it our lake house. It was a farm house built in 1920. In 1968 it was moved to it's current location & remodeled. My DGParents bought it in 1982.
Then a year & a half ago DH retired early. Last year we decided to move to Brady & sell our house in Midland. I think this has been the longest move in the history of mankind as we started in Sept. I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I worked on the sewing room last week & we brought a ton of my sewing stuff this trip. We drove down to Brady today & will be here till the 10th or 11th. I think the next trip will be the last of the moving stuff. I do hope that we will be able to get the house in Midland up for sale soon after that.
All this coming & going I am so confused every morning as I wake not knowing which house I am at. LOL

I am 5'2" so the size 5 shoe size is about right. Or I think so. LOL It is hard to find the right shoes. I did use to do those high heals myself but....well I don't any more. My DD's feet are smaller than mine by a li'le bit & she is also 5' like yours but i think she lives in flip-flops. LOL

Honchey, I love your idea of a Gypsy Quilt. I found a pattern I can use up most of my scraps and make several quilts, I think. Last All Iowa Quilt Shop Day is the last day of June, and a friend has offered to drive me on a short hop and turn my passport in then. So I will 'look' a little more at things. SBG, I love your sites you referred too above.

Everyone have a great week.
