Sure do Celeste - all the flowers are annuals, except the fuchsias. But we take cuttings year 1 for year 2 plants, and discard year 1 fuchsias. They grow more vigorously from the cuttings than a 2nd year plant. We do have a few hardy fuchsias we leave in their pots in a very sheltered spot on the south side of house for winter.
But everything else we grow from seed, or buy the tiny mini-plugs in March and bring them on ourselves. It is quite a chore emptying all the containers before the winter and cleaning and storing them. We buy fresh plant compost every year (sacks and sacks and sacks of it!)

Yep, that's okay Terri - but you'll have to sleep with all the quilting gear - 2nd thoughts - could I trust you not to hop off with the quilts? haha
Noooo you couldn't trust Terri in that room with all your tops and your stash and your finished stuff! She'd be out the window in the night and away with the lot! The boys wouldn't stop her - they're anyone's for a biscuit!

----------------------------------

I would NEVER to that! I just might drool over some of it. Ok, maybe I would pinch a few, but ya never know. I'll make sure I have a box of bikkys with me for the boys. :)
Okay then Terri - changed the avatar so you can see they're asking where the biccys are....

Are you French? and where in france do you live? as a young girl, my dad was military, and i lived between toul and nancy for 2 yrs. met my husband, he was a young g.i. and moved to michigan after he finished 4 more yrs. france is beautiful. my folks rented a place in a small village off the base. and of course, i didn't appreciate all the history that surrounded me everyday. loved the dances in the streets as a high school senior. the french were so protective of me as a young american girl. so, polite, good, kind, to me. loved the experience.

No not native French SewNso, but the brain is definitely French now. We moved here 19 years ago, and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. We love the country, the culture, the people are welcoming, the quality of life is much more relaxed than we had in the UK (but we are now retired).
We are 60kms south west of Limoges, on the Dordogne border, and right in the middle of a Natural Regional Park. I think like the world over, city life here would be quite frantic, but our area is one of the least populated areas - also the area with highest unemployment so not all good news for some.
Here's a link in English about our region
