    You could use a more modern style one in the short run. I went out and looked at mine, and it's just one disk with a spring clip holding it in place. None of my other Singers have anything like it, as Singer went to a different method with the next models, and then back to this type with much later models.

    Macybaby, could you send me a picture of your bobbin winder tension disk? Front and back? I can't find good pictures to use as reference.

    For the bobbin winder, it runs off the treadle belt. Beautiful machine, don't often see these decals in such good condition.
